Worker’s Compensation Lawyer
ANYONE! ! know of a lawyer that specializes in worker’s compensation against Albertson’s in the bay area?
I know of someone who uses there hands in their job for the Union. Two moths ago they broke their hand while working and took a few days off from that. They went to see the Union Dr. and was told to go back to work, just not to use the injured hand. Of course when they go back to work, they have to use both hands to do their job. They started working shorter shifts, and going home in major pain. The boss’s of this person would complain about their performance.
Now almost two months have gone by. This person went back to the WC Dr., and said that they needed to have an x-ray or mri, because something is not healing right in the hand. The doctor said maybe in two-three weeks. The doctor will not put this person on leave and in the meantime this person is losing a ton of money from not working, fears loss of job.
Does anyone know of any good Lawyer? Even if we have to take a loan out for this. San Jose, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Campbell, Mountain View, Palo Alto or anywhere around….?
The union should be able to recommend someone.

I am currently on workman compensation in Louisiana and I think they are trying to low ball me.?
I am currently on pay Workman Louisiana. I am not a lawyer, because I can not afford the 20% that lawyers take each week. I have only $ 86.63 per week. I'm told it's because I did little more than minimum wage. If I would have $ 450.00 a week with the financial settlement would be greater. I I fell on a wet floor and hurt his back. I need a surgery to repair bulging disc in my back five as a result of the fall. And workman compensation offered me a settlement that would not even pay for the operation. I need to know what are my rights pertaining about it. I think it's totally discrimanative and prejudicial. If I had more money I would be worthy of a transaction or a good regulation to help me get my life in order. I am very depressed because of it and the pain is chronic and constant. PLEASE! help me find if this is true or just something that the insurance told me to settle for less than what my injury is interesting.
I think you would be wise to consult a lawyer who specializes in cases of accidents at work comp. In fact it seems that you can not afford to go without it. They can be able to provide you the cost of medical expenses and a settlement. Good luck.

Who is the best lawyer of the accident?
I fell down the stairs at work last Monday. The company sent me to hospital. Workman compensation will pay for the visit. I'm disappointed because I took off Tuesday and returned to work Wednesday because my employer Cheap does sick days. I was afraid that if I went several days, I would not have been paid. Since this was my first injury at work I knew worksmans not pay comp. If I knew I had to take from 4 days to comp worksman pay me, I would have stayed home and rested. Call your hospital and doctors and have them send all invoices to the company and workers comp give them your # application. This should take care of any bill comes to you. Get your treatment, NOW. Head injuries are serious. You must also obtain lost wages when you are out of work, if you're still unemployed, so take care of your expenses. It usually takes a while before you get all the "payment" the workers comp and a lawyer will only slow this process and you will not get more than you would get by without one, at least this point. Workers want a model that you treat and get cured or best medical you will get (which means an additional treatment not contribute more) before deciding on your disability, total or partial disability%, if you can be retrained for another job, if you are completely out of work, etc. Then, depending on your income before the accident, they offer a settlement (that's the same with or without a lawyer).
